Hiking and Hanging With My 3yr Old

Went for a hike this afternoon with my son (three years old... almost 4) and we decided that we would take along our hammocks and try to take a nap. We found a great spot right by the river, but the snow started up and became too much for us to take a nap (I didn't bring the tarps). Anyways, this might be a boring video, but if you have kids or just really like trip report type things then you might get a kick out of it thanks for reading/watching.

This is great. My son is also almost 4 and loves being outside. We've camped a couple times so far. In fact we have a trip planned for Jan 7th, and I hope to camp outback a few nights over the holiday too. Here is Mom helping him in with is cousin.

Good job dad getting him started young thats the way to do it! He is a little trooper looked like that grass was about as tall as him and he made it all the way out there, he is a tough little guy and like you said if he is having fun thats all that matters! Too many parents now days just stick there kids in front of a tv or video games. Great job dad!

Ahh thats cool. I hope the Grand-daughter will want to go out with me come summer. I was sleeping last Sunday early in the morning when she crawled into the hammock with me from her bed. Stayed there from 2 to about 4:30 when she moved over to be with my wife where the 2 dogs and 3 cats were. Big ole fur fest there. She spent the whole night in her bedroom last weekend. Two and a half, won't be long before I don't have a snuggler again.

Is this still in business, all the web links say it isn't found.

I was thinking about making a small pack for my little guy, basically a stuff sack with straps. His backpacks are heavy and big on him. He has a superman pack like in hikingdad's video, it weights 1.5lbs by iteself.
