Ouch - better be more careful what I wish for! Seventy smackers... ughh

Well thanks to all for really stepping up and shining the spotlight on the harder to find wristies of the world! Shug - I may order a pair of the power stretch wristies after I see how I like the fleece pair.

As for the merino wool wristies... Maybe next Christmas or when I win the lotto (I guess I should start playing, huh?) As for now, I'll keep my eyes pealed for a pair in the $20-$30 range. Maybe Icebreaker/Minus33/Smartwool will come out with a decent pair.

Maybe I can cut a large and small hole at the end of a pair of merino socks.

I agree with HC, cut up some merino wool socks, a little stitching and you are good to go, hmmmmmmmm I have some time off, a little project might be fun.

    DIY Wristies from socks Pictures

I was inspired by Shug to make these a few years ago! Works Great! These are cheap to make saving you $$$$! I used one pair of old socks and a old shoe string. I also use the toe end to store my batteries from getting cold? I think Shug is right about keeping the wrist warm and I also think keeping your neck warm is also important! Stay warm and toasty my friends!

Now that's what I'm talking about! Bankheadboy, nice job. Looks like just a bit of hand sewing on edges. Bet there's a nice cost savings doing it the Bankheadboy way!
