    Yes it is! I bought that a L-O-N-G time ago ('bout 16 years ago!!), and it still looks pretty new. I also have the fleece insulation layer that matches.

    My latest cold weather "outer" layer is actually made of 10 oz. cotton canvas from Empire Wool & Canvas Works. I have a full-zip version complete with coyote fur ruff! It hasn't been really cold enough this winter to pull it out, but I suspect that will change as winter deepens.

    # 1,2 I made the first set over 3 years ago and only need to stitch for a thumb opening by hand

    I wear out so many pairs of wool and wool blend sox, I always have some to use. They have worn well, and wash up without fraying

    #3 Another set to be sewn

    #4 And some made from a modified "Knotty" pattern

    None of them have to be expensive, and re-purposing old socks makes sure I can have a pair in most every coat or car.
