I made my bugnet like the ones mirage and Vick shown on this page...

    http://www.tothewoods.net/HammockCampingBugfree.html

Light, easy to attach and no additional sewing to be done to the hammock.

If you follow the link to mirages page below the pic I think there is more info on how to do it.
Gentle raindrops and mighty oceans...neither can exist without the other.
Time heals all wounds...but it usually leaves a pretty big scar.

I have a Bliss with attached bugnet and love that hammock. Very comfortable. I just don't like a permanently attached net, but it sounds perfect for lunch time hanging!

I bought and returned the ENO bug net. I felt it was a little too much.

Nest bought fabric and made a net to just drap over his ridgeline and put omnii tape on the ends to close it up. Very inexpensive and it's working great for him during his hike.

You don't have a bug net on your hammock. You "defaced" it on an earlier campout remember?

    Okay - Cerberus aka Nest.

You're supposed to be hiking. And if you're where you can you a computer, you should be in cell phone range so you can call your Mama!

But he's right - I did "deface" the net on my Hammock Bliss. But hey - iit held!

I have had a full size string hammock that folds, with ropes, into the size of a softball for years. I like it because it's olive green instead of white. I always hike with it. I envoked a ton of envy one hot day while day-hiking Rocky Mountain National Park. There was everyone (summer in RMNP=lots of people) perched on rocks while I was down by the lake, swinging between 2 trees...I heard many comments like, "now THAT is the way to travel"...what I like about day hiking with a hammock is it slows you down...otherwise, I find myself rushing from view to view...

If bugs are going to be an issue I throw a couple bits of incense coils in my pack...if you know how to position them you can keep yourself mosquito free in just about any place...
