I tested out my new WBBB and SuperFly last night in my parents' woods. I used my Exped DownMat 9 pad and Kelty Mistral -20 on top. It was fun to set up my hammock and tarp and be out in the woods. However, I will not be hanging in Winter again until I get an under quilt.
The pad was finicky and I was either chilled with it under-inflated or rolling off it with it over-inflated. My bulky bag was OK, but I do wish that I had a snug fit instead of the roomy Winter cut that this type of mummy bag has. Once I get an UQ I think I will sleep inside of a zipped up Summer bag and use the Mistral as a TQ.
The coyotes woke me up at 2:30 and then I couldn't get back to sleep as I started to feel the chill. I called it a night and went into the house at 3:30. Oh well, live and learn.
