    NY/CT Overnight test / VT 4k footers

Looking to do a weekend overnight in Jan. as a test at a near by preserve, Ward Pound Ridge in Cross River NY. Nothing special but beats the back yard. If there is any interest let me know & I'll confirm dates and location.

Also looking to hit a few VT 4k footers. Hoping to tackle at least 3 by March. Most interested in Abraham, Ellen & Camels Hump.

    Thanks,
    GG

Best wishes on the test hang. Always a great idea to have a shakedown backpack before hitting longer trips in winter.

I'm working on the winter NE4Ks and still need all of VT. Please keep me in the loop.

I'll keep an eye on this. Any weekends after the 9th of Jan should be good for me as long as there won't be travel for work. Abe Hellen and camels hump are some nice peaks (camels hump is my favorite.

After the holidays I'll have a better idea of a schedule for VT. I'll post up possible dates when things settle. Hopefully something can stick.

CT/ NY 1/21: Ward Pound Ridge Overnight

As mentioned earlier. Nothing extraordinary about WPR but a good spot for getting out and testing.

I've reserved a spot for Sat. 1/21. If interested let me know & I'll PM details.

Site allows total of 8. Two maybes already in.

Looking to head to VT weekend of 2/11 to hit one maybe two of the three discussed earlier.

Fall back plan will be the AT somewhere in CT or NY.

FWIW, last weekend was great. Temps were in the low teens and I was very comfortable. Tho it was more of gentlemen's hang being in a shelter with fireplace...
