We opened presents early cause of traveling tomorrow, and my folks got me a Wilderness Logics Tarp...major upgrade in coverage size and decrease in weight over the thing I was using before! I'm hoping to fit a bike trip into this break to have a chance to sleep under it!

Mmmm...Gransfors Bruks. I want one of the hatchets but haven't found a way to justify it yet. Working on it...

Mrs Clause got me the makin's for a climashield TQ and UQ, a pair of trekking poles and some good stuff for my Big Green Egg. My girls both got PLUQs and headlamps...among other girly stuff...

Apparently we were all on the nice list this year...

forgot to mention, I also got a copy of "the ultimate hang"----------just from glancing at it, Ive already picked up some great tips---what an excellent book!
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

Pretty sure my gear gittin' days on Christmas morning are a thing of the past. Too many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews!

But even in this economy we managed to cover all bases, even if some just got the remaining cash on hand.

Here's to a better new year (same wish as last year)
