I got a Dutch Oven, just in time for the Florida Hang later this month. ::

I'll be testing it later this week when we go hang with a few friends.

Well my last post was just things I've picked up for myself - but today I got new trail shoes and merino wool clothes from my parents.

I got my girlfriend a puppy for Christmas (she said I had to get her a puppy to keep her company while I'm on my thru-hike) and my parents had her pedigree registered with the AKC - and the part that was a surprise was that they registered her name as "Appalachian Trail Baby".

    Her call name is Bailey.

That's what my wife thought when my new scale came in. As its sits in my gear room, she is now aware of its true intent...
