Video: By Land or By Sea

Hey all! By Land or By Sea accounts my first microadventure conceived as such. I left on a Monday morning from my house, cycling to the Shands Bridge, where I attempted a two mile crossing of the St. Johns River. I aborted the crossing due to heavy currents and crossed the bridge. I spent the remainder of the day hiking around the Bayard Conservation Area, where I spent the night. I returned home the following morning.

    Enjoy!

I'm about 1/3 through it....it seems the base of the audio is too much for however you downloaded/compressed it.
Also trouble hearing while you were in the water.
In the woods was good as well as the last 1/3.

ah- you're making me miss FL!

The music is cool as is the scenery. Loved the ff action

Fun times! Your adventures are well edited and fun to watch. I've had many run ins with the law on my adventures. They're always curious when some one steps to the beat of a different back beat.

Thanks guys! I had a lot of fun doing this and it helped me to gain more of an appreciation for the place I grew up in. If I could go back I would have been doing this stuff my whole life. Glad you're enjoying it.

Great vid! I love the combo of slow/fast bw/color. Gave a nice dreamy laidback feeling.

Great video. Thanks for posting. But I gotta say...A two mile swim?

Well good for you just the same.

It seems more manageable in theory... but then you get in the water and it's a different story. I think you're right though, that it could be done with better weather- apparently the current there is mostly wind driven. Anyway glad you liked it!
