Went for a hang with my family last week out at Ft. De Soto Park. Amazing time. First, perfect time to visit Florida as the temperature was just right and absolutely no bugs. It only happens about three weeks out of the year, right?
Well, we started the day kayaking around Mullet Key Bayou and saw tons of Mullet jumping around us. We saw a few redfish and a sheepshead. The best part was a pair of dolphins swimming just 20 yards in front of us on a feeding frenzy.
Back at camp, we hung Christmas lights and enjoyed sausages over the fire. We went out for a night paddle and saw bio-luminescence in the water. From the research I've done its pretty rare to see.
Capped off the night with a 50 degree hang with a perfect breeze coming off the water.
Great place to camp in the winter. The photo is the view from my hammock.
