Stacking UQ questions

I have 2 UQs, one is a sewn through 50* 2/3 length quilt and the other is an 0* Incubator. I am looking to sack them to try and get down to a lower temp. for winter camping.

Would it be best to stack the sewn through next to hammock or on the outside? My thoughts would be to have the sewn through on the inside, or could this cause gaps?

Another question would be, how to stack UQs and not have them shift on you? Should I use cloths pins to keep the edges lined up or is there a better way of doing things?

I'm also interested in this. I've found recently that I'm a cold sleeper, so I may have to stack.

I hooked my buddy Timmy up on a minus 1º hang.....3/4 UQ on the outside. They stayed snug. This is a JRB Hudson River TQ?UQ and then my Frankenquilt UQ. I have a down parka over his foot-end.

I'd go with the 3/4 on the outside, this will allow you the properly adjust full for a better fit on hammock. You'll want to make sure suspension on 3/4 is a little looser that you would normally hang it to allow full to loft of 0* quilt...

Had a buddy try it the other way around and got mixed results... CBS...
