Sorry, count me out.
I'm heading to the north part of the Cumberland Trail instead. (mostly because it puts 3 March Madness sites near my route).

Well, the wife said I can go out and play. How many of you are planning on floating? I've been wanting to paddle for the past 2 months and this is one river I've been wanting to run. I was wondering if anyone wanted to team up for a drop or pick up and all we would be out is the fuel. I can bring some extra yaks if anyone wanted to use one. (I've got several)
There will probably be a group floating, there was two of the days last year. Extras probably wouldn't hurt anything, some of us enjoy it but don't have boats and others would have their car in the yak vs the yak on top.
At the moment there is 2 of us. I'm trying to talk a 3rd into it. I just got a new boat I was wanting to take, but don't want to scratch it up too bad yet. How rocky is the float your talking about? I would guess I could have 3 or so extras, and I've got a heck of a trailer built that can haul up to 8 or more for the drops.
tncamper and I are coming together. I'll also bring one of my extra SOT yaks. Between the two of us, we figure we can bring two extra yaks (paddles and jackets) and he says he may take a canoe. That would accommodate four paddlers who don't have boats. His trailer rocks and if we tow it behind my truck, we can probably handle 10 boats (with two in the bed that are < 10 feet long). I look forward to meeting you all there.
I've paddled the Buffalo a lot and used to camp at the Ozark campground near this hang when I was tent dwelling. It's been a few years and it sounds like fun.
I will have to sit this one out. I screwed up and didn't look at my calendar, I have to lead a hike for my Cub Scout group.
for anyone that doesn't think they have warm enough stuff I will bring extra top and bottom quilts if needed. I will only be there for 2 days but I am happy to share

I may take a look at them but you have seen most of my stuff, I should be warm enough. The only people that maybe comming with Owl and I that might need it would be either my twin or my older brother, both of which might be able to manage with their 35* bags as top quilts. That is if i convert both in time....
Eagels may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked through jet engines!!
Not a local, but if memory serves right, the last couple of years we experienced the temps from mid 30s to mid 60s and rain at some point.
