Given the forecast, I'll bring my 10x10 pop-up; but I've really messed up my back and side so I'll have to ask someone else to set it up and put it back down. Unfortunately that also means no hiking or floating for me this year.

The road goes ever on and on Down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone, And I must follow, if I can, Pursuing it with weary feet, Until it joins some larger way, Where many paths and errands meet. And whither then? I cannot say.

Pegleg,,, u can have alcohol. no glass

The river is low but an 80% chance of good rain for Thur. I'm hoping it brings the water level up to a entertaining enjoyable and exciting float...
and yea,,, 40% rain for Fri/Sat but we will have several EZ-UPS and 4-dog-stove for a little heat with OldGringos wood supply.

BC,,, dang,,, we can even setup ur hammock... wink

river guage,,, look at Buffalo - Ponca to Kyles

I hope there is some left...as your porter, I may require a wee bit of refreshment, from time to time.

Just to inform everyone going, Looks like rain every day ((( ))) and heavy rains for Thur... I will be there with my Alpacka. If you decide to backout I do understand... It is a very long drive for several hangers to be rained on all week...
If you wondered how well your tarps treads water,,, this is the weekend...

Hang your hammock high and tie off the Alpacka to your ridgeline!

This is the third year of this hang, our third time making the trip and it's been wet every time. Wouldn't be the same if it were dry. We're still planning on making the drive unless there is a significant weather event that makes driving or camping at Kyle's dangerous.

Our normal road trip involves leaving College Station, TX Friday about 4:07pm, heading north through Oklahoma and arriving in Fort Smith, AR about midnight where I have plans to camp in a hotel. From there, it's just a few more hours in so our target is still Saturday midday. If the weather is too bad, we may make a day trip out of it and find higher ground for the night. After that, it's a road trip and who knows what direction it will take us.

I'll be there Friday, Mike, but you may have to pull my trailer up the hill for me.
