    Ripstop nylon $1.00 a yard :)

Well I was calling around to local fabric stores and found one that is a mom and pop fabric store and she said she had two new rolls of ripstop nylon not sure on the weight yet and she would sell me one or both 41 yard rolls at 1.00 a yard! So thats two rolls 82 yards for $82.00 !!! The colors are royal or navy blue and lime green so im not sure as to how poppular the lime green would be.

I was planning on selling some of this to try and make a buck or two per yard not sure yet but I dont know what I would do with 82 yards lol So I figured ebay or something. This is not seconds it is top quality she said as I asked her if it was seconds and she said no.

As I said im not sure if it is 1.1 or 1.9 but I will find out tonight when I go pick one or both rolls up.

Any thing I should look out for or stray away from as far as weight or anything else?

What do you guys think the poppularity factor would be with lime green?

Any way sounds like a great find and I hope to spread the wealth to some guys looking for ripstop at a good price.

Just make sure its ripstop nylon and not "sport" nylon. I had to learn the hard way when I bought some to make a DIY down top quilt. It was only $1.33 a yard, but when I got done sewing and started to stuff, I quickly found out that "sport" nylon is not down proof. Also, lime green isn't that bad, neon maybe not, but lime green should sell.

Ok I asked twice if it was ripstop and was told yes but I will make double sure! She acted like she never sold the stuff so she was willing to give it to me cheap! Thanks I think I will get both rolls if all checks out, I appretiate the advise!

I was gonna order some stuff on line and then said well maybe I should check around and sure enough found some about 40 min away from where I live so even with gas I still think its a good deal.

I've been wanting to try some DIY hammocks. If you do decide to sell some, I'd love to pick some up. I actually just got back from Hancock fabrics but what they had seemed thin and they couldn't tell me the weight. I figured I'd do some more research before I bought some.

How wide is the fabric? Good wide fabric 56-64" is best for hammocks. Breathable, uncoated seems to popular for hammocks.
Might be a good idea to buy enough for one hammock and do some testing yourself prior to shipping it to others that may fall due to weak fabric.

64" I definately plan on making a hammock right off the get go with it and having my bigger buddy test it out lol I cant see why there would be anything wrong with it integrity wise? There are lots of guys who buy 2nds and build hammocks from that too. I also am not planning on centering any selling to hammock builders but just thought about putting it on ebay for a better deal than anyone else to make my money back at least and and maybe hook some people up on here if its legal then use what I can Thanks for your reply and info
