    DWR Should dew bead up?

I'm relatively new to so much dew on nylon fabric.

Dunno how much dew should collect, whether I can and should enhance the water repellency of nominally DWR nylon and Pertex.

Some green nylon parts of Clark hmmk seem to be so saturated as to turn darker. The nylon on the proud shoulders of a differential-cut UQ are either made translucent, in spots, from dew every night and AM, so I can see the down behind the fabric; or they are wet and I am seeing wet down on the inside.

Should I look for DWR sprays to enhance beading, so a shaking might get rid of most of the water? How repellent should DWR be?

It sounds like skin oil and salt deposits on the fabric, all my DWR stuff goes like that after a while, especially where its been handled regularly. If it doesn't bead, its wetting out.

Wash it in Nikwax Techwash or similar, and then reproof if necessary with Nikwax TX-Direct or similar to bring back the performance. The down filled stuff will need re-proofing with spray on waterproofing, not the wash in.

No dirt, unless it is what attacks at night, the only times the gear is exposed outside.
The UQ I referred to is almost new.

Is it possible that some of the DWR treatments of fabric are not so water-repellent?
