    Looking for amsteel projects

Ok, Ive made whoopie slings and soft shackels, what else can you do with amsteel? I thought about making my daughter a bracelet or necklass --has any one ever tried that? Any other suggestions?

I asked the same question a while back about zing-it, it is in this thread.

Your daughter may not like the color rubbing off on her skin or clothing.

Make you some long loops in case you need to extend your suspension. Used locked brummels to make a necklace or bracelet. Combined two different colors of amsteel and make an ASRL for your hammock, I did this on a DIY GEH to match the head and foot end whoopies.

Grey Amsteel worked well for a closed loop bracelet for my youngin' without discoloration of the skin.

I think that using it as a necklace is a sufficaton hazard. Every year there are several kids suffocated by the straps of their bycyclehelmet during play.

At least consider some Kind of weight-release on the necklace, If it snags you will never forgive yourself.

    Happy hanging... Be safe

I agree about the hazards. Amsteel is crazy strong stuff and there's almost no chance of it cutting or breaking should it get snagged on something, putting the wearer in great danger.

Thanks for bringing that up---Choke hazard is something I didnt think about. Also, do all of the colors rub off?

So hire yourself out as a hit man and make Am-Steel necklaces for your marks. Sure you may not succeed but I'm guessing that you'll be the only hitman on the circuit with that technique.
