    Turtle Quilts Tarps Bad Anouncement

i hate to say this but due to pay pal not wanting me to use there service as a buisness account even after always providing a con. # to all of my customers and having NO complaints they have put a 3week waiting period on any transactions that i recieve or make. i am not closing out my buisness but i may need to change the way payments are made or a longer that "what i think acceptable waiting period for my products and in doing this they have basically shut down my buisness. i am still willing to create my products but we will have to work around their crap. i have sent many complaints to no avail. I AM SO SORY FOR THIS INCONVIENCE BUT ITS OUT OF MY HANDS. THEY DID HOWEVER SAY THAT THIS IS ONLY A TRIAL THING AND THAT IT COULD BE LIFTED IN A MONTH OR SO.
AGAIN I DO APPOLOGIZE FOR ANY PROBLEMS THIS MAY BRING TO MY CUSTOMERS.
    THANKS

Wow. Let's hope they lift that soon for your sake! I was worried when I saw the title, because I've been saving for a TQ!

They probably want to force you to open an eBay store.

I feel your pain...they did the same to me with zero apparent cause. I don't use my Paypal account for a business, but I (used to) use it for eBay and I have a 100% rating there. I now strive not to give Paypal or eBay any of my money.

I don't understand why the cottage industry vendors don't just have merchant accounts to take credit cards? It's a pretty easy setup and the fees are generally less then Paypal.

That doesn't answer your question though... you could register for a square account at www.squareup.com and be accepting credit cards tonight over the phone...even if it's just a temporary thing.

Hang in there man and don't let the b@$t@rd$ get you down! We all were able to spend plenty of of money before PayPal. Ask for money orders they're simple. You will of course, with all the steps to get one, lose out on impulse buys.

another endorsement for SquareUp. My wife uses it for 2 of her hobbies / businesses. She got it first for Art Fair transactions, but now also uses it to sell her books online or over the phone.

I think ALL the cottage guys should go with the money orders only. Do you know how much I would save from not impulse buying.

Turtle, I do have a business account and they did the same thing to me. What I suspect is that they want you (and me) to keep a certain balance in the account at all times. I only do couple hundred dollars worth of business a month (gross not net ), so mostly I withdraw it to pay my bills and the account sits empty. What I translate this to is, "You aren't letting us make enough free interest off your balance. So instead, we're going to hold it hostage and force you to let us make interest off it. Mwahahahaha!!"

They told me when I called that it was ostensibly to cover outstanding transactions in case a customer complained. How many layers of crap that is, I won't get into...
