What angle would you guess my straps are on?
What angle would you guess my straps are on?
Gotcha. I managed to find a few in the gallery. I didn't know your tarp ridgeline could be below. If it wasn't for this site I don't guess I ever would have known!
Glad you found some pics. It's all trial and error but the more you hang, the easier it is to set up and get comfy.

Enjoy the elevation
It looks like you have one end at a steeper angle then the other...this will cause a weird lay as well. Also you should be able to (with some force) bend your RL into a 90* angle. Like demonstrated here also watch our resident professional instructor Shug and his videos.
Also If your a bigger person the HH may be too small. I prefer the WBBB for just about everything I do...It is plenty large enough for bigger/longer frames. Unlike some hammocks which may have the length but not the width.
Keep trying...it will either work or not...and you can always recoup most of your expenses here on the forum, by selling your gear.
I miss my 4.8Lb base weight as a ground dweller...But I sure DON'T MISS the ground.
I have the wbb
Great looking area & as Bulldawg89 said 'you do eat well'.
Mmmmm I'm feeling hungry all of a sudden......
Good job, Kona Dawg.
I just saw your pics and mine were embarrassing compared to those! Most beautiful pictures I have saw in awhile!!!!
Hey KD, great pics, looks like a good time and some good eatin'!
Not sure if this would help, but I think I had a similar problem with my BB one night when I picked a spot with the trees a bit too far apart... couln't get the straps higher up the tree, and couldn't let out much more thru the buckles without touching the ground, ridgeline was way too tight. Restrung on a couple of trees a bit closer together, ended up one of my best sleeps ever in the woods!
Cheers
