Furnace Creek Campground Death Valley Tamarisk trees

Headed to Sites 49-52 tent campground, Furnace Creek, Death Valley in February with scouts. These sites back up on to a tangle of Tamarisk. Anyone hung from a tamarisk in Death Valley?

Did you end up using a Hammock in Death Valley ? I'm looking at staying at Furnace Creek and Mosquito Flat. Is it possible?

And what do you recommend seeing?
