If wasn't for your smiling face and the bugnet I wouldn't be able to see it in the woods.
Don't let life get in the way of living.
Nice job, [o]TTer! Looks professional and very warm. You must be dreaming aboot cold weather, eh? Do those suspenders get stretched around the bottom of the UQ or up around the ridge line? It seems to me that they should wrap around the bottom, but I want to be sure I'm not missing something.
The smile is fueled by "Downy Goodness" my Friend! It was hard to get out of it!
Thanks, the colder the better for testing purposes! The suspender is shock cord and stretches over the Ridgeline, it connects to the UQ via sewn loops on the grosgrain around the outer seam, nothing goes under the quilt. The UQ shell is deferential cut so you can put it under tension without compressing the down.
Nice job. I really like the Camo look.
Happy hanging!
Very impressed. I LOVE the digi camo setup. Only I believe I might ignite in flames sleeping in it here in south Alabama.
That is perhaps the prettiest quilt out there.
It goes so well with that hammock.
I have to ask, what is the cost to make this? (without the labor)
Impressive... Most impressive.

Enjoy the elevation
If we’re on the verge of ignition up here, it’ll cremate ya in Alabama. The top (in progress) and under quilt are intended to replace a -40c/f (both c & f agree at -40) Military sleeping bag, the double bag weighs 9lbs. I'm hoping to have the new TQ/UQ combo total around 3.5lbs and compress to 1/2 the size in a stuff sack.
Its $100 in feathers (16oz of 950+ FP) and $50 CDN for the shell
Thanks!
