Just finished my Fronkey inspired bug-net today ... weighs 4.2 ozs. .. I have a Clark UL and GT Pro both with attached nets ... I didn't like the GT Pro's net .. it was very loose with-out having multiple lines running to it .. the Clark is awesome .. just wanted a lighter set-up .. the Fronkey instructions are concise and easy to follow .. the design simple and functional .. and the best fit I have .. I'll post a pic tomorrow ...this thread saves me from starting a new one ... Thanks Fronkey ...

Mad777 ... looking forward to seeing some of your designs at the Hang...

I'm looking forward to the pictures.

When the weather is cooler I have found the net retains a little bit of heat. Not much just a few degrees, but enough to feel the difference when I unzip the net. I haven't used it in below 0*°, I would imagin it would accumulate alot of frost though. For a future purchase I would like to get a WB Traveler and give myself a choice.
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. - E. B. White (1899 - 1985)

I prefer the integrated bug net, but there is a problem with hammocks with the zipper on only one side. My Warbonnet Blackbird stretched on only one side and became too uncomfortable. I've replaced it with a TreetoTreeTrailGear Switchback, which has a zipper on both sides. Not had it long enough to tell how well it works. My first trip with it won't be until the middle of February.

I like a seperate bugnet because I can reach around and adjust my UQ without fuss. You can't do this with an integrated bugnet. During bug free seasons, the net stays at home.

I can't see why you'd want a separate bug net - it's extra complication and extra weight; if you don't always want the bug net, there's lots of cheap hammocks without them...it's not that I have a problem with people using separate bug nets, I just don't see any advantage to it.
