Anyone planning on bringing a hammock sock to the hang? I'd really like to see one.

Hmmm... it depends on what your definition of "sock" is. . I was planning on bringing something resembling a hammock sock, although it would be more like a pod than a sock. Podsock, sockpod...

Yes, exactly, one of them things.
People have asked me how the swap meet will work at the hang. Here is how I envision it happening but since this is the first time we've done it, I'm open to suggestions for improvement.
Since Qpens is reserving the large pavillion that has lots of picnic tables I see it working like a flea market.
1. Bring your stuff to the Saturday evening cookout.
2. People should mark their gear with large tags with their names and a starting price and put it where they are eating.
3. Everyone can travel around to tables to meet and greet and haggle over stuff and prices.
Since the pavillion is where the cars are parked, there's no need to hike the extra gear anywhere except to the pavillion on Sat. evening. You can bring as much or as little as you want.
Pretty simple.
Just adding a link to this thread for directions in case anyone needs them:
MAHHA directions
Some nearby by activities that weekend (in addition to the beer tour, which sounds like a lot of fun) include the Great Frederick Fair, which will be in full swing that weekend, and if you have not been to Harpers Ferry yet it is definitely worth a visit.
Welp... tonight I am taking flamingo on a shake down hang in the DIY bridge I made her. It is supposed to get into low 50's tonight so it may be high forties where we will be. I have a synth underquilt rated for 35 degrees. My self-inflatable pad and a 35 degree sleeping bag for a top quilt. Add to this something from her winter collection of flannel body armor and I think we should be ok. Two questions... other than investing in down quilts, which is neither feasible nor reasonable for this warm weather car camperr, is there something else I should do? I have a neat sheet I could put on top of the UQ if that would help. Secondly what are the typical temps at the MAHHA? I want to bring what I need, but not too much more just so we don't have to run back to the car at a whipsnatch but don't have stuff we need to jettison either.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

I'm not sure what the temps will be there next month. Someone else may be able to help with that.
I will say when we did it last October, I didn't have an underquilt and didn't need it. It was actually quite warm. (One person said it was TOO warm. But then that person always complains it's too warm and you know who you are! )
Hopefully we'll have nice weather again, but if it rains and get chilly, you'll need to be prepared. As if you didn't know that already!
We'll keep a check on the weather and post it closer to the hang. Gathland State Park, MD comes up on weather.com if you want to keep an eye on temps for now.
One hanger sent me a list of things he's bringing to the swap meet! Here's a preview -- even sent a picture! Time for me to start collecting things too.

DOH, I don't think Kiwi and I will be able to make this one. We already have vacation plans for that entire week. I will think about trying to get out there for at least the first night. It really depends.
