    Lightbulb Ridge line gear storage

If you have a ridge line, this makes a pretty good "gear loft" for a hammock.

Slick idea. Two of them for $6.50 and 0.5 oz. Looks like they attach with mitten hooks. I very well may look into getting a couple of those. Excellent idea, Hector. Thanks for passing it on.

I'm using cheapie biners. if I get too much storage up there it will start looking like laundry day in Amish country. I gonna kiss....
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

i got a set of them last year & i like them. i hang one on the side of my hammock for the stuff from my pockets, lights, camera (action<G>).
i haven't got around to it but i plan to sew another grosgrain loop on, a few inches away from the original loop, so the "mouth" hangs in the direction i choose rather than spin.
I too will something make and joy in it's making

Oops -- sorry, FishinFinn. If it's any consolation: I had used these in a bughut that my wife uses now. I borrowed one the last time we were out car camping, and it was pretty handy. But, in the end, I gave it back, because I already had a way to handle everything that worked fine. So you can live without it!

It's GEAR! Speaking as a Gear Junkie, any gear is good gear and must have! My wallet is getting thinner as we speak - I had to go buy some new polypro braided line this morning to replace the wonderful wicking rope on my DD hammock. Good tip, storage solutions are always good and for the price, it's a steal!!

I use the stuff sack from my sleeping bag as my main bits and bobs holder, mini biner thru the loop at the bottom of the bag and attached to a biner thats part of my ridgeline. (so it hangs level and out of the way. I cant see into it but I arrange stuff so that things I need will be near the open end.

I also have a small bulldog clip to hold things and the plastic and metal clippy thing from an work ID card that are just the job for holding up this and that. (but can be used to hold bits of hammock or sock in place when I'm in tinkering mode)

i do find it extremely handy to have a place to put some of the small items where they wont get lost & they are readily available, either at night or in camp.
i don't have to "look" for them... i don't even have to squat to the ground to get the camera or whatever<G>.

Whenever I see gear like this now, I find myself looking very closely to see how I'm going to make my version of it. Strange.
