Great pics and awesome father/son trip. Nice post.
That was a great trip report Buffalo Skipper. It looks like you had great weather too. I feel your pain (especially Ian's) about trying to keep growing boys geared-up. I have two myself that seem to outgrow everything in weeks!
Great pictures and a nice report. You and your son won't forget the great time you spent together. I still remember the trip my Dad and I took into the Selway Bitteroot Wilderness area (Idaho) more than 30 years ago. My Dad is long past backpacking, but we can still relive the memories. By the way, I also suffered from blisters on that trip.
Loved the pics. I always, I mean always get blisters. I have tried just about everything money can buy. The only effective method for me is duct tape.
It sure sounds like you two had a great time. Memories forever!
I have never had a blister while wearing wool socks.
Spend the bucks to buy the best-fitting shoes you can find for your Son. You will be glad you did.
