Yes Sunday and Monday night will be drive up camping. We could hit a campground that has pit toilets and a water pump a few miles from the river or we can camp right off the river at the spot marked on the map for the N.F.

Also plan on it being a little over an hour drive from Alturas to the N.F. We will be going though town when we move so any one that want to can hit the grocery store. I will be planning to stop and get a bunch of sandwich fixins to share for lunches. I know of two that will probably be meeting us along the river.

I will post online fishing license ordering link for ID for anyone that want to get it ahead of time. You can specify the valid dates. But they can also be purchased in Ketchum (at one of 3 fly shops) or at Smiley Creek Lodge where we will meet up on night 1.

I also need to find an hour to post a trip report from last weekends fishing camping trip to the N.F. with some pics of the area and the fishing. Hope to get to that today if I can find the time.

Thanks Paul, that helps. I was looking at hiking food, and drive up camping food. The Dutch oven is an options with the truck but not the backpack.

I just received a letter saying that I will be at the local courthouse for jury duty on Thursday 9/6. It looks like I will be rolling in on Friday morning and playing catch up.
PG - Whatever route you choose, be nice to me. I can't run very fast or very far anymore...

This is my first notice since moving here and now I know what to expect. The letter was post marked yesterday, so it wasn't that the letter took a long time getting here. Maybe once they hear my views on things, I will be released. (My current run of luck, I will get a murder case that will take me in to the following week...)

Yes that's the place. Plenty of parking, cold beers, good food, fishing licenses, and chilli if the power goes out.

Is there a general time for the meet up? If we don't make it we will just go the the lake camp ground.

I would say we should shoot for between 5 and 7. We will want a bit of time to head to the campground (about 10-15 minutes drive) and set up before it gets to dark.

If I wanted to come up perhaps late Friday or very early Saturday and be back to work on Monday (home at a reasonable hour Sunday) would it be possible to meet up with everyone somehow?

If I'm reading the thread right it sounds like I would have to do a bit of hiking to meet up, which isn't a deal breaker for me, just a matter of figuring out how to find people I've not yet met.

I live in Boise if that helps to figure in timings and such.
