Still planning on the trip. When the wife found out how long I would be gone she said that she should also go for the trip. She will not hike or fish, so need to find other places for her to stay and activities (shopping). Maybe two or three wives making the trip. That will up the cost of the trip by about five fold.
What is the location of the trails for the hang?

@Walking Bear, there are a few options for ladies to stay. Ketchum/Sun Valey is fairly close to the sawtooths and on the way from your direction. It's a resort type area and has lots of shopping, hotels and restaurants. Think Aspen CO, Park City UT and your on the right track. Then their is Boise or Salt Lake. Both hours from where the hang is but the next closest cities of much size to offer anything.

The hang will be in the sawtooth national wilderness smack in the center of Idaho. Locate Stanely ID on the map and you will be in the area. It's about an hour south to Ketchum or 3-4 hours to the south west to Boise depending on route.

Getting close.

I am planning to go this weekend to scout an area that I really think will be perfect for this hang. Fishing is supposed to be incredible, a bit of off trail so the hiking will be a little work bit should be well worth it. I'll try and report back early next week with the details as well as some info for those that want to get set up on the fishing/Tenkara end of things. I will have gear for those that want to try it out with a modest fee for the consumables like flies and the like...might put together a package deal if you want to go home with it all. Still trying to sort all that out in my head still.

Get to work Paul I know you are just sitting around doing "nothing" lol. But really, that sounds good. Thinking about getting the fishing license to be legal this year.

Yep just sitting around waiting for something to happen.

That is between the 30 orders we did this morning and the 20 or so I'm in the middle of right now.

Might start off with everyone that is doing the Tenkara thing meeting up at a pond that is on the way to do a basic clinic sort of thing so everyone knows how to and will be able to just go to it when we get up to the lakes. There will be a couple of folks with Tenkara experience on the trip so we should be able to help on the trip as folks need but it would be good to have an introduction for those that have not fished much.

I would have loved to been able to make this trip, I've been trying to get back to my home state for 34 years now Oh well maybe next year.
