How a sandgroper sleeps in summer!

For my work I spend a large part of the summer 'out bush' and my sleeping arrangement of choice has become the hammock. This has evolved from a DD Frontline hammock with stretchy webbing (read saggy sleep) to the current WB Blackbird with whoopies. I'm pretty happy with the current setup. I've included a few gratuitous hammock pics below from a few spots around good ol' WA.

Mate, you, myself, Browny off of here and another mate of mine with a hammock need to catch up for a beer and some hanging sometime soon.

I'm NoR near Joondalup but am happy to meet at a central location!

    Love the photos

    Cheers,

    Jason.
All in all and I'm loving every rise and fall the sun will make and I will take breath to be sure of this

I thought WA was hot.....how come the fatty UQ? (albeit short).

Am new to hammocking, and off to NZ next wk (with my HH). Made a short fatty UQ like yours, but worried I'll be too warm. I suppose I'll find out soon. I know I was cold without anything under me one night. Maybe the issue will be the TQ being too warm???!!

Days can be hot but it can still get quite cool at night (all relative mind you). The UQ is a HammockGear Phoenix rated down to about 5C so it does for all year here. It's a 3/4 length quilt which I use with a small piece of foam mat for the feet. Without the UQ I still ended up with CBS more often than not. On warm nights I just toss off the TQ and sleep cosy as can be, pulling it over in the early hours if needed.

Pics AB,EF look like wheatbealt'ish location, CD more like Jarrahdale way or similar.

+1 on a mini group hang for the WestOz contingent.
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives.
