    Camped for years

Hiker and camper for years looking to get into Hammocks now. Here in the mountains where I live in TN there is very little level ground where I like to camp off the trail deep in the woods. So think this may work well for me. The AT trail is literally on the mountain right out my frount door. Any way in the process of deciding what I will want to get. Looking for 4 season for sure like to camp down to around 15deg. In the snow in winter. Looking for ideas on something used maybe I can get I to at a fair deal.

Welcome from the other side of the state. I'm still working on fine tuning my cold weather stuff. There's plenty of info here if you search for it and lots of helpful people.
    It'll be alright Friday!

Then you floated all day in the rain! It's been coming down in buckets all day. Check out all the vendors you can before you buy and take your time learning. This forum has a very active "For Sale" page! Once you decide and if you're diligent, you'll find a deal.

Make sure you watch Shug's Videos, Trust me you will enjoy them and learn lots in the possess!

    Jason,
    Welcome to HF.
I recommend you pick up a copy of the Ultimate Hang. It was written by one of the members here and is GREAT resource. It covers a lot of the information you will find here. I wish I started with that book, I think it could have saved me a month of reading here on HF, trying to figure out the nuts and bolts of all of the many options and ways of doing things.
    Enjoy your hang,
    Jason (in MD)
