Hi everybody, I'm Priit from Estonia and quite new to hammocking. I've been trying out DIY hammocks since last spring so this is my first winter in a hammock and I'm really looking forward to some great weather (sub-zero F) for my next hiking trip .
Contrary to many of you there - overseas I've been using only synthetics so far (8 years of winter camping) for insulation and I'll be making my first versions of synthetic UQ-s soon and try them out when it's cold enough. My fave hammock fully packed with my tarp, poles, cords, treehuggers, carabiners is quite UL though at some 600g/21oz
It's amazing how addictive hammocking can be, right!? I've never slept as well as in my hammock and I'm quite sure I'll never go back to sleeping on the ground again
Cheers from the birthplace of Skype!
