Mine is my m/c.
My name is Chris (short for Christopher)... so 'tofer' is sorta like the last bit of my first name. 'J' is the first initial of my last name.
I use toferj on just about every other system that I'm on. The first one was my Google account, and because "topher", "tofer", and "topherj" were all taken, I ended up with "toferj"... which is okay with me since it's maybe a little more clear how to pronounce it than "topher" would be. People might have thought "top-her" instead of "tofer" you know?
Pretty easy on this one. Last name is Jolly, so, JollyHammocker was born. I'm relatively new to the hammock camping life and have found it to be extremely fun. Thanks for letting me join the site. I'm looking forward to some fantastic adventures, information sharing and hanging time.
NY=New York - Place of birth
Chamorro=Indigenous people of Guam - Where I lived for 23yrs.
kc8mxw -- Welcome to the group!!! Can't go wrong with a call sign; no one else will have it (but I know some guys don't like using them, too easy to look up other info). I'm K9TLA, and if I every get back into hiking, I think I'm going to use 'TLA as my trailname.
Back to subject: I've had the nickanme of "Grizhicks" for many year, and use it just about everywhere on the 'net. I'm a cowboy action shooter, and it is also my cowboy name.
-- Grizhicks
Mine is simply using letters from my first and last name easy for me to remember also co workers have been addressing by this name for a few years now.
I used to motocross, thus M/X.
Once while hiking on the AT at Mt. Albert it became so steep i had to put my hiking poles away and scramble up on all fours.
A trail buddy said he was going to go around instead of up, and said you just M/X it on up, and thus my trail name was given - Mixup.
The road less traveled.
