Mine is Heading 180. I live in Maryland and now that I'm in my early sixties thoughts of retirement and yep heading South. After decades of focusing on my remodeling business I find that it is time to take my foot off the pedal and show down a little. I have started back doing something I have always loved. Out in nature, hiking, camping and backpacking. I am a newbie to hammock camping and looking forward to hanging around. Tents are a thing of the past for me.it

I fly planes! Been doing it since I was 12. Went to school one day and was telling someone about the the different planes I had flown that weekend and they said, " Well, you're just one flyin' guy aren't you?" It stuck.

    Birthday is May 21.

In the mid 1980s, every time I'd call my riding bud James, his girlfriend would yell, "James, phone, it's MikeBike". James passed away 3 yrs ago but the handle stuck.

    Quetzal

The quetzal is a bird in the trogon family found in the neotropics. Aztecs and Mayas viewed the quetzal as the "god of the air" and as a traditional symbol of liberty.

Enjoying the comfort of being elevated in my hammock and appreciate the perfection of mother nature liberates me from the mundane problems of today's society.

Icky The Great, growing up I was always looking out for the little kids, cousins, neighbors. Fixing wounds, chasing off bees, killing spiders, fixing flat tires and what have you. I was always a little older then most of them so I would keep to myself unless they needed me. My youngest cousin, at the time could not say my name and it came out as "ICK, ICK". Usually with a pointing motion. She also used to squish potato bugs (rolypolys) and say "Eww, Bud Duts!" So Ick became Icky and most of the kids called me "Great" for always helping them out. So well into my High School days I had the moniker Icky The Great around my neighborhood. Friends adopted it and so now everyone just calls me Icky. Some people do not even know my real name. Bizarre isn't it?!

My name has kind'a two stories to it.

When I was a kid, I wasn't in the Boy Scouts, I was in another group that were Native American themed and we all had to pick "Indian" names.

Well, several years prior to that my father had planted several fruit trees in our back yard which were his pride and joy. Running around being chased by either him or my sister, I ran smack into the peach tree and cracked the thing in half! He was quite upset.

Thus, my name in the group was Brokentree.

And now that we hang from trees, it seemed appropriate for this group, too.
