What does your HF Screen-name mean?

Long obsession with non-match firelighting. More into friction fire methods such as bow drills and whathaveyou, but I also like having a real carbon steel strikealight with me (the one pictured in my avatar) because they last practically for ever and strike off stone. Don't use this much "in anger" in the field because the sparks you get off them are weak and hard to catch compared to ferro rod sparks, but it is nice to know it is there as an ultimate backup.

Sprocket was the name of the dog on one of my favorite childhood shows, Fraggle Rock. Randomly used it here, but I'm hoping to acquire a trail name on my PCT thru-hike that I will one day undertake....until then, Spr0cket it is!

mike1125biking, well Mike is my name and I own /ride one of six bicycles or my one motorcycle whenever I get a chance. 1125 is an old address I lived at for 20+ years.

There is an internet story going around that when Samuel L. Jackson agreed to be Mace Windu it was on the condition that he could have a purple lightsaber so that his kids could find him in the massive battle scene. I have no idea if it is true or not, but why Purple_Lightsaber? Because I'm Mace freckin Windu..... that's why.
