Bacon Grease is a name I acquired while at Texas AMC By The Sea and it's origins are inappropriate for public discussion on a family forum.

In these days of blended families, my grandsons have many grandparents. My grandsons call me Granny Pat.

During the first Desert Storm (1990-91), I used to hang glide. I lived in a small condo with no garage (only a carport). I had no other choice but to choice but to store my glider on top of my van racks. Using a large diameter white plastic drainage tube, I had a friend weld It on to my van racks. I used this to store my glider in. Being the patriotic type, I decorated it with American flag stickers. Over time I added fins to it and a nose cone made out of a wok cover. It really looked like an air to air missle. Wish I had a picture of it. As I drove this around to go hang gliding, my Friends started calling it Sidewinder after the type of missiles we were using in desert storm. The name somehow got transferred to me. There you have it. I'm named after a missle.

I mountain bike and try keep my truck on dirt roads as much as possible. I used to be "dirty will" due to my penchant for wrecking my bike, but I'm managing to keep myself out of the dirt a little better these days.
