This is my name, Skeeter Henry Frank Snell. I am new to the hammock camping, but not to hammocks. When I was in hi-school and college, I traveled in Brasil, there I learned the joy of hammocks. Since then I went back to ground camping but I'm making the switch.
Newbie here, reporting in...
Fish became a nickname during my younger years.... I swam competitively for ages, even qualified for nationals when I was 16 (and promptly broke my ankle 3 days before the meet).
Guess it sort of just stuck.
Well i´m a Swedish hammock hanger!
Just like south park butters. I had a few funny never going to forget moments that people just kept calling me butters.
At Work many years ago, I was named "sudden", Swedish nick for "eraser" because I work as a illustrator/artist at a computer game company, and I lived at that time in Aspudden, (Loosely translated: Aspen Byland) A suburb to Stockholm, Sweden, and therefore I started to use the nick "sudden from aspudden"
-It's not the years, honey, it's the mileage.
Well, I could tell you, but then I would have to... well you know.
Name I got from playing a lot of online FPS type games back in the day... sometimes at work (back in the 90s there was really no IT departments and the company network was a premade LAN Party) Still play quite of few games today... (at home)but my reflexes are getting slower every day...
Actually everyone calls me QB so I probably should check to see if you can change your name on this forum...
The avatar is a CYLON from the original Battlestar Galactica series... I'm a big SciFi geek as well.
My name is a nonsensical word that's guaranteed not to be taken when I sign up for a new forum.
Mine comes from my early days of outdoor activity in Northern Ontario. I grew up hunting and fishing with my father. I learned all I could about woodsmanship or what is now often called bushcraft.
Well, back in High School long, long ago Phys Ed my senior year was a whole bunch of different modules and one of them was woodsmanship where I excelled and really got to show what I could do. One of the pretty young ladies in my class called me Jungle Jim and it stuck. Not really a trail name but it will do...
