Mine is an old screen name/email from high school. I loved soccer and I was #8. Don't have a real trail name yet. Right now people just call me futbol.

Mine is pretty straightfoward... My name is Sunshine and everyone in my family has always called me Sunny. Who needs a trail or camp name when your real name is Sunshine? It was destined from birth for me to congregate around the campfire.

    Sunny

    I take a lot of pills/capsules to stay alive-without them I'm dead.
I stock them up and squirrel them everywhere.

Hey Rev, Love the hearse...Plenty of room for a hammock in that sucker I'll bet...A buddy of mine used to take the wife and kids camping in one of those and loved the looks he'd get when pulling into a state park...Hard on the gas tho....

Several years ago an insurance company up here in Seattle had these ironic TV ads, and one was a guy who always carried a blue tarp to fly in the rain. The tag line was something about making your own blue skies.

My kids always laughed and said that was me. Any time we'd be car camping I'd always fly some of those blue tarps. Ya know it rains up here sometimes ...

A couple of years ago I asked Brian at OES to make me a custom "Really Blue" MatCat, and when I started taking that out with my camping / hanging buddies they started calling me Mr Blue Skies. I dropped the mister.
At sea, I learned how little a person needs, not how much.

    Blaze Away

We'll make a bonfire of our troubles and we'll watch them blaze away

and when they've all gone up in smoke clouds,

we'll never worry should they come another day

and as the bonfire keeps on burning,

happy days will be returning,

    while the band keeps playing

we'll let our troubles blaze away

Here we are, there's work to do,

and don't let troubles trouble you.

Bring them along and we'll burn them up,

bring them along and we'll burn them up ha ha, ha hey

Start and throw them right into the fire

Watch the flames go higher and higher

Blazing away, blazing away, oh, come along bring your worries round today.

    Definition of blaze away:

    1) perform brilliantly and rapidly.

    2) shoot rapidly and repeatedly; "He blazed away at the men."

    3) speak with fire and passion.

Apart from the above mentioned, it was the name of my first sailboat that brought me safe from Denmark to Hawaii in the years 1981 - 1983. Thus in honoring that little ship (19 foot) I took BlazeAway as my trail name.

I have since found out that the markers on a trail is called a blaze.

Blazeaway---while your spilling the secrets, tell us about your avatar please. Is it the family crest? Do you live in one of the giant castles in Denmark...possibly you are king of the Danes and you like haning (pun intended) with the little people because of boredom in the castle?
