The name of my blog on blogspot.com. Refers to the fact that canoe and kayak paddling adventures compete with playing soccer for my recreational time.

I went to college at Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania, where our mascot is the bald eagle. Plus...I am short on hair, being completely bald on top whenever possible . And I am currently building my nest for some winter hammock camping!
I actually started with Geezer from a couple of online games. I added the Scouter part when I created a separate e-mail address for my scout related activities.
While I prefer the UK definition of Geezer, my sons would say the U.S. definition is more appropriate.
"geezer"
In the U.K.: A guy, a bloke, a person in general. The British equivalent of the American slang word "dude".
In the U.S.: An old man, particularly one who is either cranky or eccentric.

What it means, I love Canoeing and Hiking through the Woods
So that's where I got ( therivertramp )
Mine consists of the first few letters of my last name. People started calling me Lamph in high school, so it stuck. Even my younger brother calls me Lamph now.
Mine comes from my love of riding my Harley... I generally, almost always, ride along... my friends took to calling me Solo a long time ago, so it seemed to fit.
Like some others, mine is about being a crusty old guy, or at least enjoying acting that way at times. I'm really not ill-tempered, most of the time, but the old guy part fits like a glove.
Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity.
