Aloha! Have not been active in a long time...so this is a good way to say hello.
My ID name is simply from, I hang my hammock in Hana almost 95% of the time.
I just totally made mine up a while ago for use on Forums Pronounced "Zex-or-Zee" lol who knows...
Sunshine is my chosen trail name. It was first a nickname a friend gave me and then it became my trail name when I started backpacking because when I'm in the woods I'm as happy as a flower in sunshine! Then hiker denotes my favorite activity.
HanaHanger! Welcome back! On a dayhike today, my little boys reminded me of our family trail names (in truth, just the boys have em): The youngest, Griffin, = Hippogriff, the oldest, Magnus = Trooper (I sprinted him through an airport once when he was 5, crying his eyes out from the effort, but never breaking stride ) and I go by Maestro (keeping the rest of my herd in line). Maybe I should my HF screen-name?

Maestro or body942 Thanks for the welcome back.
I just got back from hanging and without my normal HH ..used just the ENO double wide ...really enjoyed it, but with a rain tarp of course.
Wonderful to hear your children go with you...now I have my two granddaughters in training hee hee.
Weta comes from a few angles: it is an ancient insect that is a throw back from the dinosaurs here in New Zealand, so respectably known as a living fossil. Not that I'm old but it regarded as a special insect here in NZ and it's a just a creature that is unique to our forests. The flip side of the coin is there's a company called 'Weta Workshop' which helped make the Lord of the Rings, King Kong and other animation films and I create smokers and furniture from wine barrels, so creativity is something I guess we both share, but obviously on different levels!
