Woot just purchased a new Henny Hex from a fellow member!

Caution on this! They are both listed as the same size at the web site. But years ago I got the 70D, and mine had an 11 ft RL rather than the 12 ft listed ( can't remember about the width) I ended up swapping for the 30D sil-nylon model, an it was indeed 144" or 12 ft on the RL. I notified HH. They did not know they were listed as the same size and said thanks and they would get that corrected, but several years later all is the same. Unless the current 70D are actually 12 ft. Could some one who has one measure that?
BTW, I have always liked my sil-nylon HH Hex even though it has no cat cut. It still is pretty good in the wind, acceptable.
And the 11 ft is still great coverage, you just need to be aware.
11' is all I really need so it's ok either way but ya if someone that has one measure it.

I've got a 70D Hex tarp from Hennessy, and it is indeed 144" along the ridge. So it seems they fixed it by making the tarp bigger, rather than by amending the quoted measurements. Works for me.
It's bad luck to be superstitious.
Thanks
You like yours @bindi?
I'm gonna add pull-outs to mine.

I do like it, a lot!
I would like to try a Warbonnet Supershelter, and I'd love to try a cuben version too, but until I can afford such luxuries, the Hennessy Hex is a great tarp. The only reasons to upgrade are weight (I have the 70D version), and fool-proofness for storms (i.e. doors).

Yep, I've considered getting some Grizz Beaks, or maybe getting doors sewed on by ZQ. In the end though, I think I'm more likely to eventually break down and order a Superfly. That way, I can have both!
I like my stuff to be tough, probably more than I like it to be light, so I might not get a cuben fibre tarp, as cool as they are. I think silnylon is as far from durable as I'm likely to stray, especially considering the price!

Ok but you could sew or VHB some doors on that zip in the middle and roll out of the way when you aren't using them. Sorry I'm tight lol
