One of the things I've always been kinda bummed with on my HH is that I've never been able to use it as a chair comfortably. The way they describe in the videos on their website just isn't in any way comfy. It's too narrow and feels like you're gonna slip out. Enter, Mod 4. Now I'll be able to sit on it, lounge in it during the day sans net to suck up the breeze. And STILL be able to use the bottom entry to get in when the bugs hit or when the tarp is pulled WAAAY DOWN LOW to keep me dry.

Next...after this upcoming hang, I'm gonna send in my HH Hex tarp and get doors and pole pockets done on it. It's already our group shelter in inclement weather...but I'll be prepped and ready to rock for spring storms!
I just got home from work and ZQ shows me this thread. Sure makes a guy feel good knowing our customers are happy. We hope to continue as long as ZQ's fingers hold up.

BTW, I now have a removable ridgeline on my Explorer. That makes a big difference too when it comes to a lounge chair setup. Dutch biner at the head end that allows the line to be rolled up with the netting.

I just got an email from ZQ that my UQP and ridgeline organizer will ship tomorrow. I am really looking forward to getting them. I have never had a Mfg. send me a private email to let me know when something I had ordered was shipping. To say the least I am impressed.

Top notch customer service, products and people. I initially asked them about a mod for my old Kelty tarp and he suggested I not do it. How many of the big box stores will caution you against spending money? Second, I asked if they could make Grizz Beaks out of my own material and they said no problem. I couldn't believe the craftsmanship when I received them; nothing short of outstanding. Finally, last year at MAHHA, Tim helped Kird (my daughter) and I find a place to setup since we arrived in the wee hours. All around excellent folks to work with and support.

OK...I've got to add...now I've actually slept in my hammock since getting the mod.

    It's all your fault!!!

Went to a cold weather (relatively) this past weekend.

Had the hammock hung low to the ground...wanted to make sure I could keep the tarp down low as well. No way that using the normal bottom entry would have been in any way comfortable. On top of that, I was in a rush getting setup, ended up putting the head on the opposite end that I intended.

So...used the side zips the whole weekend...on the OPPOSITE side, at that!

Yep...that whopping $2 extra to get the double zips on the other side let me be lazy and leave it setup the way it was...got in and out through that side, and it all worked like a charm.

    It's ALL YOUR FAULT!

Thanks again, both of you. I'll definitely be sending my tarp off for doors/pole mods once I get a bit of cash kicked back. Would have been nice to have doors to cut the winds while we were out there this run.

Wanted to add my opinion of 2QZQ too, top shelf all the way. Great people, great service, great work. Did I mention patient?
Heck, I had a hammock mod done by them on a Hennessy that already had a side-zip...just didn't have one of the other side too.
    Trust nobody!

    It's CONTAGIOUS!!!!

Yup...Weasel saw me using my zipper entries at our hang a few weeks ago...and sent his expedition in to have the same mod done!

Careful, don't get too close! It's contagious!

It has come in and it was wonderfully done. I cannot say anything bad about their work. I have not personally slept in my new hammock yet. Unfortunately to those whom thought Owl and I were to be going to Arkansas Hang on the weekend of the 9th are going to be a little upset.

It will be my first for many: My frist outting in my new hammock, my first solo (one day/night before Owl comes), my first long distance bike run, and mine and Owl's first recruited hanger will be comming.

Thanks for the wonderful work and will be reporting back.
Eagels may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked through jet engines!!
