Need to verify my newbie thinking...

So I bought a WBBB 1.7 Dbl with 7/64 black amsteel whoopies and ridgeline already on it.

I was thinking for my suspension to buy the following:

1 Pair of Dutch Buckles with 5.5 foot webbing slings to connect directly to the Whoopie slings.

Is this correct? Will I get wet in a heavy rain? Thoughts or comments on this before I buy?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Sounds good to me. It's what I use. Can always add a small dripline if necessary but the slings tend to do this just fine. I would add an order of Dutch clips as well at some point (from Jacks 'r' better) and you're laughing.

Harbor frieght has 12' yellow cinch straps (1 inch wide)on sale right now for $3.99 for a pair. I use these and they are great. I cut off the cinch buckle and sewed a loop on the end and use elephant trunks to hook into my whoopies. Elephant trunks cost $12 a pair I think, so this is a very reasonable set-up. I love this set-up.. The yellow straps are nice in the dark also.

I do have a set of tree huggers as well already but I wasn't sure if they'd work with the Dutch Buckle or if I could use them at all?

Not sure why I'd need Dutch Clips as it seems they're not necessary with the Dutch Buckle or is it?

I like the Elephant Trunks those are cool, will look into them.
