inexpensive diy materials in Greenville South Carolina!

Hey guys, about a year ago, another hammock forum member told me about this place phoenixofanderson.com Its located a little south of Greenville SC. I had some time off this week, so I decided to check it out. The deal is, they wholesale fabric, and 3 days a month they open thier shop up to the public. Heres what I found today-------ripstop and silnylon 3 dollars a yard, bug netting 1 dollar a yard, Insulbrite 5 dollers a yard, (not sure what the going price is, but i bought a yard to play around with!, grosgrain ribbon 4 dollars a pound, a scrap bin for remnents of ripstop 4 dollers a pound (sorry guys, I picked that one pretty clean!) Leather scraps, and fleece scraps by the pound etc etc. This place is a huge warehouse full of all kinds of fabrics---upholstery etc. To top it all off, (Im not sure if it was only today, or all 3 days) but on checkout they gave me an additional 25 percent off! (so I went back for more!) For about 130 dollars, I got more than enough material for 4 tarps, 2 bug nets, and lots of extras to make stuff sacks, a back pack etc. Its a 3 hr drive for me, but I felt it was worth the time and gas involved! Not to mention, the people were really nice to deal with! I've got enough material to keep me busy for several years! The only catch is, most of the material isnt marked as far as what its made of or what weight it is--or water proof or not. So, if you are buying something for a structural application like a hammock, you need to know what you are looking at! As of noon today when i left, there was lots of ripstop, silnylon , and bug netting left on the shelves. Anyway, someone did me a favor by telling me about this place---just wanted to pass it on to you guys----have fun! ( for directions and info, just google Phoenix of anderson)

FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.
