Fire in my bones, thats pretty funny about the sales manager asking if you are a hammock camper! Maybe next month they will carry even more? Did you ever find any cuben?
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

Man, I wish I had a place like that around here. $3.00 a yard silnylon is really cheap. What was the quality of sil? Did it look like 2nds at all?

Really light, maybe 1.2oz. Good quality from what I could tell. ~52" wide max. Nothing is really marked, so you have to touch, feel and guess.

Just left the place, awesome store! I spent $80 and got enough stuff to make a DL hammock for me, 2 SL hammocks for my boys, bug netting for all 3, enough ripstop scraps to make a DIY backpack, leather scraps for various things, some gutterman thread, and I also got a yard of insul-brite to make a few things (cozy for cooking gear, pot holders for the house, etc.)...I got only a 10% discount, not 25, but it is still worth it! Thanks for the lead!

I'll go back next month for the silnylon for the tarps.

I also made the pilgrimage to Phoenix and must have just missed Sasquatch. A couple of employees mentioned that there had already been other hammock folk shopping this morning.

Oh my goodness, what a place! It is almost overwhelming. Far too much followed me home.

Silnylon and uncoated ripstop for tarps and quilts for $3.00/yard, bug netting for $1.00/yard, crinkled nylon supplex for another hammock for $3.50/yard, Gutterman thread, and did I mention the grosgrain? If you measure it out they charge $.50/yard but buy a whole roll and the price goes to $5.00/pound with a one pound minimum. I am quite sure I have 50+ yards of very good quality grosgrain. The discount seems to be related to the time of the year - I may have misunderstood but it seems that early January isn't a busy time so the 25% discount helped bring in customers. Today's discount was 10%, other busy times there may be no discount. But I'd still be gleeful about the prices even if there were no discount.

Better fix some coffee and get started sewing. It is going to take a while to get all this finished!
