    Sewing school

As I mentioned in an earlier thread I bought a Bernina sewing machine and with it I got a free 3 hour sewing class. Believe me I stood out from the crowd in the class. I did learn a lot and it is great customer service to make sure I know how to use my machine to its fullest. They also set me up with the correct bobbins. Most of the stitches were gear for decrative quilts. But now I can do a blind hem stitch.

Haha that's great! I am just picturing you sitting there with a bunch of older ladies. "Let me show you the Dutch cane."

ZQ here...I went to one of those classes with my mother in law..she needed a working set of ears! The classes are very informative.

And, I bet you stood out!! Quite different from the normal group of customers!!

There was 5 Mennonite girls, 3 Mennonite older ladies, 2 older "quilters", 2 younger girls.......

And Dutch. I kept quiet and tried to fade away in the background. I was nervous, but at least I knew how to thread my machine and use the automatic needle threader.

My wife's Janome has one but frankly it seems more trouble than it is worth. I don't think she uses it all.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

"Bless you child, when you set out to thread a needle don't hold the thread still and fetch the needle up to it; hold the needle still and poke the thread at it; that's the way a woman most always does, but a man always does t'other way."

I hope you explained the "thread injector" theory to the ladies.
And sil, and cuben, and 1.1 vs. 1.9, and hammocks (bridge vs. gathered), titanium...lol

I think next week you should bring the bridge-skin and set it up.

Did you tell them you are easy on the eyes???
