Q1: Has there ever been one?
Q2: Are there any lined up?
Q3: If the answer to Q1 or Q2 is 'No' then why the heck not?
Q4: Who's up for it?

1) Not that I know of,
2) As 1
3)Uh...
4) Sure- but do you lot down in ye olde Englandville have the landscape for it?
Joking aside though, the englanders I've spoken to about hammocking have been generally positive... until the subject of *where* comes up. Even up here its a little less easy than for our american cousins (Hammocking on the AT, for example...)
Seriously- if this is a thing, I want in.
We really should, Its about time.
Lots of us are on BCUK though and meet up through there instead.
I find it quite funny than no one has ever really organised one, I'm sure a lot of people would be up for it.
We don't have the most wiled lands scape in the UK but you can still find some nicely placed trees for a hammock to be strung between, meaning we can still hangout, u know what I'm saying?

Hi Yanman,
So do you ever go to Leigh Woods? I began my hammock adventuring there walking in at around 10pm under cover of darkness and found a great spot. Scared me half to death the first few times. Once I came upon a deer in the dark and thought the devil himself had come to take me.
Then they forested the spot I'd found so now I have another one on the leigh court side of the woods, past paradise bottom.
I go up there every few weekends. It might be cool to exchange ideas one saturday? We could do an afternoons hammocking and have some tea and cake and stuff.
Up for it?
You's lot are like buses.
Been hammocking for a few years now, nobody near Brizzle and two pop up on the same thread!
I'm a possible on a hanging meet dependent on location and pink ticket from the ball and chain.
cool.
I do have a secret spot in leigh woods but you can still hear the motorway in the distance so it would be good to do something on dartmoor (am I right in thinking that it is exempt from the normal restrictions on wild camping we have in this green and pleasant land)?
Could just be fri/sat nights?
I'm up for it.
Dartmoor allows wild camping.
I do most of my hanging in Wales, theres plenty of woodland, away from motorways and away from people.
And night mountain bikers(in Leigh Woods), of which I am one.
