Had a great time as always. I want to thank everyone for being so nice to the bday boy even if he was acting a fool. They say you only get old once so it was good to do it with friends new and old. Thanks for another great (wet) Hoosier Hang.

<Fist bump!> Tonka, you're alright, regardless of what these gals are saying about you. Let me see your hands!
Both Gargoyle and I commented that we did not see a single critter the whole weekend (other than the three deer I saw during the rain Saturday on the rigeline across the stream). And I am glad to say that I didn't have one mosquito or tick near near me the whole weekend, and even slept without a bug net (that Permetherin really works).
I'm so out of shape ......I passed gas yesterday and pulled a muscle!
Well Yes I do, KNOW! Hey I had a good time just hanging a lot farther from the camp fire then everyone else. What can I say LOL.
Had a really great time and it was nice to meet up with some folks from the Halloween Hang and to meet some new folks.
Sorry Gargoyle you picked up some hitch hikers. Permethrin Spray????????
I had some of my gear sprayed with permethrin, but not all of it.
I will be more thorough next time.
Thoughts on the weekend:
Mark and I had a great time.
I really enjoyed seeing old friends and making new ones, but missed those who couldn't make it.
Had a great rain nap.
Didn't get washed down stream.
Slept well BOTH nights.
NO HEADACHES all weekend!
Loved eating what I wanted, when I wanted.
Stayed dry in the downpour.
Awakened Saturday by Gargoyle just before the rain started, so I could get things squared away.
Still not sure if it was the thud or the scream that actually woke me, though...
You can barely know someone and still be old friends.
Butters is one of my favorite dogs.
A flashing light on your tarp is a big help when you're coming back at night.
Still laughing at some of the jokes I heard.
A Craisins bag works as a drinking cup--who knew?
It isn't the size of the tarp that matters, but what stays dry underneath.
Watch out where you place your tarp line stake--it may turn into a river.
Weird things turn up in streams sometimes.
A good sandwich is a great reason for a hike.
Time passes far too quickly in the woods with friends.

"I fish because I love to; because I love the environs where trout are found, which are invariably beautiful... because, in a world where most men seem to spend their lives doing things they hate, my fishing is at once an endless source of delight and an act of small rebellion; because trout do not lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed or impressed by power, but respond only to quietude and humility and endless patience...." --Robert Traver
Funny you said that, I was the last one before you(10:50am).
Just because you said that, here's a stupid video I took before I left and it references you

Here are some pics at night around the fire lit by the flash. I can send high def pics if requested.
