how to use quilt hanger with secondary suspension

I just got some quilt hangers and ridgeline quilt hooks. I've watched Dutch's videos on the quilt hangers but he doesn't address what to do with the secondary suspension line (at least not in the 2 that I've watched). is the quilt hanger only for the primary line? if not, how would I attach the secondary suspension line to it?

How? I'm not sure if I'm doing it right...the shock cord seems all jumbled up and not secure

I guess not many people use the hangers...

Are they necessary if you're using ridgeline quilt hooks too?

I use the hangers. There are four slots. Larkshead the primary on two and the secondary on two.

Here's how I have mine set up. I have Larkshead the primary on the upper two holes, and the secondary on the bottom, as Intimidator stated above. Hope this helps.

Yes! Thanks for the pic. I didn't think to pass both suspensions through the one hole.

Ridge Line hangers are not for the same use as the quilt hangers. I use the quilt hangers the way MBoom shows but don't use the Ridgeline. Mainly because I use an integrated bug net that negates them. The Quilt hangers is to make it easier to hang the quilt by the gathered end. The ridgeline hangers is to change the angle of the suspension lines for the quilt. Pre Primary / Secondary more modern quilts, the Ridgeline Hangers had a more needed purpose. Now day's, I am not so sure. But I am not an authority; I just know the quilt hangers make life easier especially setting up in the dark.
