Prusik material

I am using a continuous line to set-up my tarp. I want to use prusik knots but I'm having difficulty getting line to grip onto my zing-it. Anyone know what the best cord would be to use with such slippery line? BYW, I am wrapping the line four times. Thanks.

I use prusik knots on my zing-it tarp ridge line. I made it out of the same zing-it as the line itself. You have to add a few more loops to get it to hold. I believe mine are wrapped 5 times.

i, also use 1.75 Zing-it on my 1.75 Zing-it RL. mine have 4 wraps.
you may try sliding them back and forth several times.
i have also use braided masons line as prusik material.

Zing-it prussiks on zing-it does work, but it takes an extra turn or two. The downside I find is that the prussik tightens up quite a bit when you want to move it.

To that end, I've started using Klemheists instead. They are directional, hold extremely well, but are easier to slide once the pressure is off of the knot. Note that Klemheists work better on a single ridge line and not on double ridge lines. Prussiks are still better for that.

I have used zing it with 5-6 wraps. Also, kelty trip tease bites very well because it has a rougher, more aggressive feel. Both work for me...

I find the Blake's hitch in a 5/2 configuration to be good for Zing-it. It holds very well, yet can easily be moved.

+1 on the Klemheists. My loops were too small to add extra wraps with the prusik, so I switched to the Klemheists, holds better IMO.
