    Big Four Ice Caves

In search of snow.. what better place than the Big Four Ice Caves. There is snow up in that area all winter.. Surprise!

This has been a bad winter for snow. It started off early giving most of the ski slopes the chance to open before Thanksgiving, but now the joke is on us with little snow fall since then..

    Enjoy!

I think we have a bit more snow here in the west kootenays but its pretty much the same deal,,,ice or slush. Was out for a hike yesterday,,,no snowshoes needed but tiring because you had to watch your footing all the time,,,still great to get out. Glad you got out,,,hope you get more snow. Thanks for sharing

Yeah, I think you can thank those of us who bought new cold weather gear this year and is ready for the snow for the lack of it. You should have also tried yelling really loud to see if you could start that avalanche. Beautiful dog by the way.

It's either global warming, or it's building up for a serious dumping of snow soon.

Nice video, BTW. That's some amazing back country!

I'm not worried about it. Weather played the same joke last year. Snowed before Thanksgiving then not much till March-to June...er Juneuary.

the La Nina has the jet stream way north for now. Subject to change but when is the question. All has to do with what is happening in the Pacific Ocean, and she is pretty hectic over the next 2 years they are predicting.
