I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
Thanks guys. What I would really like is to go on a group hang so I can get some advice from experienced hangers. I can feel underneath my hammock and get some idea of how snug my UQ is, but it's hard to be sure unless I'm outside looking in, so to speak.
Tried again last night but came in about 2.30. My bloody cat woke me up again! Swatting snowflakes again, then later on he came back miaowing his bloody head off. Note to self: lock the cat door before hitting the backyard!

I have a semi-U-shaped pillow that kind of hugs the side of my neck. It tends to stay just where I want it. My TQ seems to stay put too. Though that my be because the "footbox" comes to just above my knees and the top edge is slightly bunched with some shock cord so that it wraps over the top of my shoulders. BTW - I'm sleeping in my hammock fulltime indoors, so it may just be that I'm practicing retrieving stuff without waking up.
I've often thought a footbox like that would be a good idea. I was thinking of something that is sewn across the foot of the hammock, kind of like the bottom half of a sewn-in bug net. Did you make it yourself?
