Hi all!
I'm a newbie to all this hammock stuff, 26 years old from, from Trondheim in the middle of Norway. I have a back injury and find sleeping on the ground, in tents etc really painful and i hope to put together a diy hammock with bugnet and tarp for hiking next summer..
i pledge to search the forum before i start threads and ask unnecessary questionslinks to must-read sticky's and/or webpages with info on basics, hammock anatomy, diy tips etc will be highly appreciated

I think you'll find the tolerance level for newbie-ism a lot higher on this forum than others.
When you get your gear in order, come join us at the various SKAHOs (Scandinavian KickAss HangOut), next one is in late february in northern Sweden, and the one after that seems to be in the Stockholm archipelago in late july. Details are still being hammered out.
